Find a Group Near You
In a few short steps, you can connect with others who share your interests and live in your area. First, click here to search for Local User Groups. The best way to see all user groups in your area is to search for your country and state/province (if applicable), as seen below.
Once you find a group near you, click the name to navigate to its homepage and click the "Join Group" button to the right of the “About Us” section. This means you’ll receive announcements from the user group leader as they are posted.
Why Join a Local User Group?
Expand Your Knowledge
Local User Groups hold face-to-face meetings which include presentations from topic experts, news from IBM, and networking opportunities.
User group meetings provide a place to share your own experience as well as soak in knowledge from other technical experts in an unforgettable environment. If you have something to share, you can even raise your hand and present on a topic of your choosing.
Earn an IBM Certification
The IBM Certifications Program has partnered with Local User Groups in our community to provide one free certification exam per event for each group's members. Simply join the group and let the group's leader know you're interested in getting certified.
Strengthen Your Network
Networking online is great, but, making in-person connections can leave a lasting impression. By showing your face and meeting other IBM users in your local community, you'll create connections which could lead to project collaborations, potential job opportunities, and even a few friends along the way.
