MMUG Update - Dec 2016

2016 is closing fast and to help end the year with a bang is the final conference of the year, Reliability Web's 2016 International Maintenance Conference (IMC). Part of the exciting news out of IMC is the split of Maximo World into its own conference starting in 2017.

When: August 1-3, 2017
Where: Dolphin Resort Orlando Florida
Web: http://www.maximoworld.com

The goal is to focus on the use of Maximo and how end users have utilized Maximo in their maintenance and reliability programs. Call for papers is now open, so please check the website for details.

2016 also came to a close with the news that Mary Bunzel has moved on from IBM and is no longer directly involved with the MMUG group. She was the founder and inspiration of this group and I want to personally thank her for all the work she's done. Theo Winkelmann has moved into Mary's previous role. For those of you who will be going to IMC, please say hi to Theo and let him know you're from the MMUG!

On a personal note, I want to let everyone know I feel I've let the group down in the 2nd half of this year. Between Mary's departure and events at my employer, this has been a rough 6 months trying to keep our MMUG group higher on my priority list. With Interconnect around the corner, there will be plans to re-inject a spark into our group. I hope to see some of you at IMC next week.

Happy Holidays Everyone!
